People Are Strange

People are strange when you’re a stranger, their faces blurred, their hearts in danger.

You walk the streets, and they stare you down as if you’re a king without a crown.

The city’s noise, it drowns your thoughts, as you wander through its busy spots.

The rush of life, the beat of drums, you’re lost in a world where nobody comes.

The stranger’s path is never easy, for there are those who see you as sleazy.

They judge your clothes, your hair, your face, as if you’ve committed some great disgrace.

But if you look beyond the veil, you’ll see a world that’s not so pale.

There’s love and kindness, hope and light, and people who will stand and fight.

So don’t be afraid, don’t hesitate, to explore the world beyond the gate.

For people are strange when you’re a stranger, but love and kindness can be the game-changer.
